Happy Hollow Farm Featured in The New York Times

Liz Graznak, co-owner of Happy Hollow Farm, was recently interviewed by the The New York Times about how Happy Hollow Farm has become a vibrant hub of sustainable agriculture, where on just 16 acres she cultivates organic vegetables that nourish both her community and her livelihood—but the Agriculture Department's abrupt elimination of two federal programs that provided nearly a quarter of her annual revenue ($240,000) has thrown her future into uncertainty, with Agriculture Secretary Brooke L. Rollins dismissing these initiatives as "nonessential" and "an effort by the left to continue spending taxpayer dollars that was not necessary," despite their critical role in connecting small farms with low-income families and school districts while helping farmers like Graznak, who now worries about making payments on $750,000 in loans after having doubled her farm's production specifically to meet the demand created by these now-defunct programs.
