Liz Graznak is the owner and operator of Happy Hollow Farm, a USDA-certified organic vegetable, fruit and flower farm in Jamestown — about 40 minutes south of Columbia. The farm emphasizes community-supported agriculture, where members get boxes of fresh produce on a regular basis, as well as a farmers market stand.
Graznak’s passion for farming started when she learned about Community Supported Agriculture farming practices in graduate school. It became a way to address the social issues that go along with farming, such as fair pay and treatment. On this episode of Vox Voice, we get to hear about Graznak, the ways Happy Hollow Farm has grown and changed throughout the years and a little bit about plant science, too.
