Well going from barely 30 degrees on Friday morning the 21st of October to nearly 80 degrees and sunny today (Monday the 24th) is probably as close to a Missouri Indian Summer as you can get.
Fall is truly my favorite time of year but I can honestly say that I would really prefer for mother nature to pick either cold or warm and just stick to it. This wavering back and forth thing is a bit much and adds a lot of work to your farmer in covering and then uncovering vegetables.
But... oh boy... are the vegetables fantastic right now. I certainly couldn't ask for any better! Check out Week 24 Newsletter October 24, 2011 and find out more of the farm happenings and this week's veggie of the week.
